February 15, 2024

In Attendance: Hydee Edwards, Angela Leavitt, Julie Vereschagin, Jerry Salmon, Jasmine Olsen, Katie Nelson, Erin Wirzba, Bonnie Fromm, Katie Ryan

Principal’s Business

- Emergency Response Plan- flip chart in each classroom with map & emergency backpack

- School to inform Parents/Community members of the Emergency Response Plan

- Angela Leavitt- SLC (Student Leadership Committee)

            -45 Kids with Grade 5 & 6 co-chairs with elections

            -All kid run- meet on Tuesdays @ noon. Came up with budget proposal

            -Been in charge of school assemblies, spirit days, yearbook, recycling

District Council Meeting Review

- Healing Backpack

- AERR Feedback – concerned about attendance and parents not feeling involved

-Dr. Debbie Pushor- Parent Engagement vs. Parent Involvement

-Social Media Awareness Instagram project- want families to follow them @ wwsd74

Other Business:

-Family Movie Night- May 31^st

- Parent Engagement Night- March 21^st Jerry’s with Jerry & snacks

- Grade 6 Farewell – Katie Ryan to communicate with teachers

- ASCA Conference April 26-28- Need one more volunteer
