September 11, 2024

Principal’s Business

New staff: Rachael Miller - Early Learning

                   Katie Redd - Kindergarten/Grade 4

                   Drew Anderson - Grade 2&3 split

                   Angie Tollestrup - Grade 4

                   Shae Dauncey - Grade 4

                   Katie Smith - Grade 6

                   Scott Mooney - Grade 6 

                  One more Grade 6 position to fill

Communications Survey & Plan 

• About 300 replied consensus was to keep communication the same.  
• Working on texts from school with links that go directly to website instead of having to download

PD Days

• using PD days to work toward specific goals.
• Goal: optimal learning environment

Celebrating a smooth start to the school year

Counsel Roles Review and fill open positions

• Grade 6 rep filled by Bailey Kado

Read Local Challenge

• Bingo/Reado - challenge for one month starting mid January ending mid February before family week. 
• Goal: get students reading at home

Plans & Goals for the Year

• 2 teacher appreciations (November & March)
• Spring event - a movie night indoors
• October 9th picture day, need volunteers
