RES Council Meeting Minutes

January 15th, 2020

In Attendance: Mr. Hogg, Mrs. Ross, Ms. Jensen, Natalie Ball, Connie Shurtz, Kira Earl, Hydee Edwards, Cheri Gilbert, Christal Bevans

Natalie Ball Update:

Teacher Appreciation lunch went amazing and was greatly appreciated by all the staff

Discussed making it a regular December thing

Needs lots of volunteers but parents came through and had enough

Supervision was greatly appreciated also

Book houses are being loved by the clinic patients and is well used

Town has not put up the houses as of yet hopeful for soon to get those up and going

RES council Budget as of right now is $1000.36 

 Goal is to keep $500 at the end of the year for the next school year 

Principles Report:

Discussion on new Division Calendar for the 20/21 school year and thoughts and input for division 

Jump rope for heart fundraiser will need lots of volunteers, as well as individual classroom room fundraiser that some teachers are interested in doing

Casino funds this year instead of one school one book

Bike Rodeo in March when the ice comes off the rink

Aboriginal day activities and year round recognition discussed for this year

Mr. Hogg also announced his retirement as of June 2020

Next Meeting is Feb 12th, 2020 8:30 am
